Welcome to the Gilmore Primary School website and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school.
Within our Preschool to Year 6 setting, high expectations inform all aspects of school management. This is demonstrated in our current School Strategic Plan that focuses upon enhancing the school’s environment and culture to ensure the wellbeing of students, staff and families and improving student learning outcomes for all students.
Regular opportunities are provided for children to play and learn with children of other ages within our contemporary, organised learning environments that are safe, supportive and inclusive. This provides leadership opportunities for our senior students and develops the confidence of younger students to engage with their learning program.
Gilmore Primary School works closely with other public schools across the Tuggeranong region providing opportunities for students to develop relationships with children outside our small school environment. For example, our students actively participate in activities such as the Caroline Chisholm School PRIME program and the Tuggeranong Network Early Years Enrichment Workshops. Our school also offers a range of enrichment programs, in collaboration with our community partners, to support children’s social and emotional development.
Gilmore Primary School has strong links with an active and supportive school community. Our dedicated P&C works tirelessly to support the strategic directions of the school. This year we have introduced community working bees as another way for families to work alongside school staff to improve the student learning environment.
You can find out more about our school through our Facebook page or speaking to a member of our valued school community. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information; it would be my pleasure to provide you with a tour of the school.
